About Me

My dedication to helping those in need started long before any formal training but my experience over the past 20 years has only deepened my compassion and empathy.  My career led me back home to the DC area to work on programs, policy, and leadership within nonprofit organizations, most recently serving as the Director of Clinical Programs at a local mental health services organization.  My connection to my culture, language, and heritage motivated me to seek more education, training, and ultimately certification in Life Coaching with an emphasis in empowerment, health and wellness, and emotional intelligence.

My passion for serving the community means helping those with whom I share a unique culture and ethnic background. Like many other adult children of immigrant parents, my experience growing up felt different than my white American friends and my relationships with my family felt a lot more nuanced.

As I gained the insight and experience working as a mental health clinician over the years, I also became a source for advice and coaching when it came to understanding the challenges that families of intergenerational and intercultural face. Now, second generation immigrants are parents themselves and still find challenges within their own families.

My goal is to help facilitate a deeper understanding of how emotional intelligence allows us to find understanding, growth, and healing.
